RSPCA visit to collect funds raised by students

Park Lane had a four legged visitor on Thursday 28th September, when Brewster, a rescue dog from the RSPCA came into school to collect a cheque for £200 which was raised by students.

Last year the students, through the Student Council, nominated the RSPCA as one of the school’s charities.  Students raised money through non – uniform days as well as organising and running a very successful summer fete.

The money raised was presented to Lauren from the RSPCA and Brewster (who behaved impeccably) in an assembly.  Lauren spoke to the students about how the money raised would be spent locally on animals in need in Halifax and was gratefully received.

A huge congratulations  goes to all the students involved and the positive impact they have made to the local community.
